You will be collected from your Cairns accommodation and taken directly to the Smithfield Skyrail station, embarking upon your Skyrail adventure expect to be awestruck as you gently sail above the World Heritage Listed Tropical rainforest of kuranda towards the Atherton Tablelands. The amazing Kuranda Skyrail which you will be travelling on has panoramic views of the rainforest as well as the Coral Sea and is truly a sight never to be missed. Then, take in the sights of Barron Gorge and its spectacular waterfall.

For those doing the ATV leg of the tour you will exit Barron Falls Station on your Skyrail adventure, and be met by our registered guide who will take you on an exotic, fun and historically educational tour through his very own 165-acre tropical oasis. This part of the tour is on your very own quad bike* geared low for your safety and touring pleasure. See endangered species of fauna and flora as you are guided safely within this tropical paradise nestled in the oldest tropical rainforest on earth and surrounded by the magnificent Barron Gorge National Park. You will also have the chance to taste some rare bush foods and exotic tropical fruits in season that will enlighten your tropical experience, away from the scripted commercialism of large rushed and crowded tours.

For those opting to do the river cruise you will continue your journey on the Skyrail and at your convenience exit at the end of your trip in Kuranda Station where I will be waiting for you. Here you will have extra time with me as your guide to do some souvenir shopping in Kuranda Village before we board the Barron River cruise. During the cruise you will be shown the scenic wonder of the river and all its flora and fauna, given accurate commentary on both the Aboriginal and pioneering history and entertained by your guide as they endeavour to impart their expert knowledge of this pristine ecosystem along the river.

After your 40 min tour, it's time to return to the Barron Falls Station for the next leg of your exciting skyrail tour to Kuranda Village, where you can spend a short time exploring the villages noteworthy attractions with me.

Continuing half an hour by road we begin to see contrasting changes in the landscape as we drive towards the Savannah Region and dine on fine cuisine for lunch at a well-known working coffee plantation/restaurant situated in Mareeba, offering a beautiful backdrop looking over the peaks of the Great Dividing Range. This restaurant is situated in the middle of 85,000 Arabica Coffee trees that produce some of the best flavoured Tableland coffee.

After lunch, it's time for your 40 min scenic helicopter flight from Mareeba Airport. Fly over Tinaroo Dam, Lake Barrine, Lake Eacham and the Tablelands heritage town of Yungaburra. You can even ask the pilot to hover or slowdown to capture that once in a lifetime shot.

After your Helicopter adventure, it's time to explore the Golden Drop Mango Winery, a large-scale, tropical fruit winery on a working mango plantation. Here you can sample and purchase your choice of lovely refreshing tropical Mango Wines, together with Citrus Cellos, Mango Port, and Golden Mango liqueur style wines. A unique locally owned 100% Australian company.

Finally, we take the inland road back down towards Port Douglas, via the small outback timber town of Mt Molloy. Watch the landscape turn from savannah wetlands to rainforest in just 30 mins as we wind our way back to the coastal fringe, and drive the heritage listed scenic coastal drive towards Cairns. If time prevails, tapas under the coconut palms by the sea at Palm Cove will make a great finish to your day.

Now the challenge is up to you. Tell me where you would find this diversity and value for money on any other tour in Cairns?
